Lone Peak Carvings will be at Cowboy Christmas in December with new western arts inspired furniture and gifts. Cowboy Christmas is the longest-running gift and art show held in conjunction with the WNFR in Las Vegas. The 2009 show runs from Dec. 3 – Dec 12.

Over 400 western artists show their western collections which include jewelry, western sculptures, western paintings and prints, western wear and official NFR and PRCA merchandise. It is like a new traveling western art museum every year!

If you are attending the National Finals Rodeo or another Vegas event this December, come see us at  Cowboy Christmas at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

We always enjoy seeing old friends and meeting new western artists. The caliber of art never ceases to amaze and inspire us.

Resort home and ranch property owners from all over the country talked to us about commissioning custom wood carvings for their elegant homes. Scott is now busy creating new designs to complement mountain properties, new lake homes and even a few ocean homes.

At Lone Peak carvings, we enjoy creating hand carved wood pieces that complement the wood and furniture that our clients have treasured for years. Our talented artist, Byron Pixton, has designed carved furniture that matches formal sets of dark wood furniture, traditional cherry-wood furniture, and carved antique furniture in a variety of styles. Many of our reproduction antique designs are paired with carved tables and carved wood doors.

Our booth was hoppin’. We brought twelve of our most popular designs in  custom wood mantels and showed how fireplace remodeling can transform a room. Many people had never considered a custom fireplace mantel.

Horse lovers admired the cowboys and cowgirls carved in detail. We had never displayed as many custom carved wood doors. We brought two cowboy decor doors that we designed for a hotel in Jackson Hole. The detailed carvings on the doors were examined by almost everyone who stopped at our booth.

My wife, Liz, and I just got back from Del Mar, California where we participated in the Wild West Expo. We have been doing home improvement trade shows for a number of years, but have just recently began selling our fireplaces mantels at western-themed events. This show featured vendors selling all things western–clothing, jewelry,  unique wood furniture and a variety of custom hand-crafted wood accents. Our booth was filled with our gorgeous hand-carved wood fireplace mantels, fireplace surrounds, and carved wood doors. Our custom wood fireplace designs were very popular. We enjoyed meeting people from all over the world who appreciate the painstaking work and attention to detail that each piece requires. Our cowboy and wildlife scenes carved on our fireplace mantle shelves drew a lot of attention.

This weekend, April 24-26, we will be at the Sandy Expo center in Sandy, Utah for the Home Remodeling and Decorating Show. If you are interested in fireplace ideas, come by and see us.
